About twenty years of painting are here on show. After the first
stages where the colour seems to hold its explosive strength,
Piovanelli’s artistic journey is more and more conveying an
emotional power expressed in bright and vivid touches till the
late works where the red, light blue, green, yellow colours aim at
recollecting deepest thoughts, as Piovanelli himself says. The
strong painter’s link to his native land has never changed
throughout the years. The painter’s faith to his origins has been
cleared from school encumbrances thanks to his well absorbed
culture
